As a general theme with several of my works, I transpose biological specimens with human produce.
Above is a sketch of corals, which remind me of architecture.
Sometimes a drawing can confirm what is envisioned by the mind's eye. This colored sketch may lead to fruition with functional materials.

Rather than an aesthetic composition type of drawing, this sketch defines a calculated plan for Conscience and its cable "orbit."
Superimposing sketches and model images to an installation site photo is crucial as a supportive document for jurors.

Layout strategies for assembled components become some of my favorite imagery. I sketch these out to account for parts inventory when composing unique assemblages.
